Alex Tewkesbury

Hi I’m Alex. I am a support worker for Hampshire, but also support the help lines for the Isle of Wight and the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston.

I have personal experience navigating the SEND system for my own children and have also worked in schools supporting children with individual needs.

Previous to this, I supported children who have experienced trauma by providing a nurturing environment within a children’s home setting.

Through both my personal and professional experiences, I understand how challenging and overwhelming the SEND journey can feel for families. This is what drives me to support other parents—helping them feel heard, informed, and confident in advocating for their children, so they don’t feel alone in the process.
